Inventions: 2014 Student Showcase at MIT Museum
The MIT Museum announces a new permanent exhibition, Inventions: 2014 Student Showcase, on view beginning tomorrow, May 29 and running through December 31, 2014.
The exhibit will feature a range of creative inventions by MIT graduate and undergraduate students, all of which were created for courses, clubs or just for the fun of it. Chosen from submissions from a variety of MIT departments and labs, these projects exemplify MIT’s legendary values of creativity, ingenuity and practical problem solving.
From the SproutsIO smart-phone application to air quality sensors, to an interface that converts everyday objects into musical instruments, Inventions: 2014 Student Showcase covers a range of participatory concepts that will shine a light into our future.
Inventions: 2014 Student Showcase is a collaboration between the MIT Museum and the MIT Museum Studio, and is supported by the Council for the Arts at MIT, the Center for Arts, Science & Technology (CAST), and the Friends and Patrons of the MIT Museum. Read more at the MIT Museum website.
